This work commemorates the women and men who have strived for the betterment of the world, leaving an indelible mark in our memories. The use of mirrors as a backdrop for displaying faces signifies a quest for a connection between these faces and their era, in the presence of passersby and the contemporary moment. If a passerby stops in front of and within the artwork, they behold their own reflection in an imageless mirror, framed with the immortal words of the renowned Persian poet, Ferdowsi: “Come, so that we do not forsake the world to evil.”
